For Investors
Welcome, potential investors!
We would be glad to find like-minded partners and take the Melbis Shop project to a new level of quality!
What do we have?
First of all, we have experience in e-commerce. Our first online store was developed back in 1999, and by 2002 we had achieved solid results and registered a legal entity. Since then, our path has been the continuous improvement of the Melbis Shop product.
What is Melbis Shop?
It is a unique software product for creating online stores. Its exclusive feature is a special Windows application that significantly increases the productivity of store staff. At present, we have already created the sixth generation of the software, which has been successfully proven in the e-commerce market over the past five years.
What trends do we observe?
At one time, more than 100 online stores were built on Melbis Shop v5! That was the initial stage of the e-commerce market formation. The next stage that we are now observing is increasing competition and business consolidation. As a result, many small projects are leaving the market because they cannot withstand the competition, while those that remain are transforming into industry leaders.
It can be stated that maintaining and supporting an own online store is becoming increasingly technically complex and expensive. In turn, the most successful online stores strive to expand their product assortment as much as possible, gradually transforming into a new entity that we now know as a marketplace.
What do we foresee in the future?
On the one hand, a marketplace is an effective mechanism for providing the IT capabilities of a large company to non-specialist entrepreneurs, reducing the cost of the product’s path from manufacturer to buyer. But on the other hand, such an approach creates monopoly and reduces the quality of choice. As a result, the buyer wastes part of their money. Nature, however, does not tolerate a vacuum.
We believe that the path of creating not just global marketplaces, but competing industry-specific marketplaces, will be more promising and better balanced for the market. In this case, software will be needed that allows the marketplace paradigm to be used not only by large internet companies.
What have we done?
We have Melbis Shop v6. This version specifically differs from the concept of an “engine for an online store.” We have created a multi-user and advanced builder of websites and business processes, of course with a focus on e-commerce. This product is not for a beginner taking their first steps in this field; this product is for established online entrepreneurs who want to take their online business to a new qualitative level. For a quick introduction to this version of the software, we recommend the “Screenshots” section.
Are there any examples built on Melbis Shop v6?
Yes, there are. We are witnessing this transformation firsthand: weak stores leaving the market and strong projects scaling up while migrating to the new version, Melbis Shop v6. First of all, we cite as an example the project of AstroScope, a company that has long-standing partnership relations with Melbis. It is a supermarket of optical instruments: https://AstroScope.com.ua
The cooperation between our companies has allowed us to better understand the needs of participants in the e-commerce market. The AstroScope project is not just an online storefront; it is the new business structure that we expect to see more and more often in the future.
It includes the following elements:
- Classic storefront website
A typical online store process of product selection and checkout with a personal account section for customers. - Section for suppliers
An additional web section for suppliers to interact with products and orders. A principle similar to a marketplace, but significantly less demanding for the supplier. - Consulting and marketing department
Specialized professionals who create product descriptions and the store showcase, provide consultations, and help customers make quality purchasing decisions. In addition, they handle marketing activities, sharing their interests in mass media. - Logistics department
Staff responsible for: - importing supplier price lists into the system;
- monitoring the order fulfillment process;
- creating procurement orders or transferring orders to suppliers;
- analyzing and accounting for the company’s internal warehouse inventory.
- Delivery coordination department
Control of goods-and-cash operations, procurement execution, and deliveries.
You can learn more about the description and functionality of the AstroScope project in the “Exemplary Online Store” section.
What do we want?
We want to find investors and like-minded partners who share our views on the prospects for the development of the e-commerce market. Throughout our journey, we have tried to create a scalable project, and we very much hope that we have succeeded to some extent.
We believe that our product, Melbis Shop v6, is an excellent fit for creating industry-specific or specialized marketplaces as an internal CMS, CRM, and ERP system. In other words, it is necessary to invest in a proven business model with the goal of scaling it.
It is possible that along the way to where we are today, the technologies we use are not as modern as we would like. However, such is the law of technology: creating a quality product requires the resource of time, which always takes its toll.
But thanks to breakthroughs in the field of AI, the prospect is obvious that porting software code to modern platforms will become much easier. Therefore, we look to the future with optimism and ask you to realize that the main object of investment is the ideas, structures, and methods that we have discovered and implemented.
